CHA CHA DOLLS: Sophie Toft, Emily Tomasso, Amber Phillips and Megan Toft, all aged 12, gave Saturday's final a spectacular opening. Megan, of Weston Coyney, said: "It was amazing. It was better than in the heats." Emily, also of Weston Coyney, said: "All the other acts are really friendly."

3DOM: The three-piece band is made up of 15-year-old Ben Cornwall, of Trentham, who plays guitar, pianist Georgina Challinor, aged 16, of Newcastle, and singer Alice Bailey, of Newcastle. The group have only been together for four months. Georgina said: "It was amazing, we loved it so much. And we couldn't have asked for better comments from the judges."

LINDSAY KEARNS: Dancer Lindsay, aged 12, of Fenton, was put through to the final by online voters visiting The Sentinel's website. She said: "I want to thank everyone for voting for me, it is an amazing opportunity. I only found out the night before the final when I went along to watch the last heat. It was a shock."

MICHAEL TREMBLE: The singer from Bucknall, has been performing for eight years. Michael, aged 19, performed And I'm Telling You, from the hit musical, Dreamgirls, which he learned in just one night after claiming one of the last slots in the final in Friday's heat. He said: "I just love performing. It makes it better for me when there's so many people cheering, I feed off it."

SHELLEY ANN RIVERS: The Cheddleton singer, dazzled the crowd with her rendition of My Heart Will Go On, originally sung by Celine Dion in the blockbuster movie, Titanic. Shelley Ann, aged 23, said: "I felt a lot more confident than I did in the heat. I enjoyed it more and I think I sang it better."

TWO FRESH CREW: Self-taught break dancers Aaron and Andrew Corden, both aged 17, wowed the crowd with a spectacular and daring performance. The cousins, both from Abbey Hulton, finished runners-up. Andrew said: "It was amazing. We have been training every day since we took part last year." Aaron added: "We are going to keep chasing the dream."

HYPNOTIC: Street dancers Danielle Virgo, of Weston Coyney, Kayleigh McCabe, of Bucknall, and Louise Sherwin, all aged 11, have been performing for four years. Danielle said: "It has been really exciting." Kayleigh said: "We can't believe it." Louise added: "We can't wait to tell everyone at school."

SAM BLOOR: Thirteen-year-old Sam was last-year's runner-up and he was once again one of the judges' favourites, even though he didn't make the final cut. Sam, of Chesterton, sang Michael Jackson's Music and Me. He said: "If I could I would be up on stage 24/7. I love it. There's nothing I want to do more."

MARTYN & COLE: The comic double-act, from Chesterton, were put through by the audience vote from the heats and didn't disappoint. Martyn Baxter, aged 14, said: "It was brilliant, we did our best performance." Cole Dunn, also aged 14, said: "We want to thank everyone who voted for us."

CHELSIE TYRELL: The pianist and singer gave a haunting rendition of U2's With Or Without You. Chelsie, aged 15, of Kidsgrove, said: "I was so nervous. The competition is amazing. It's one of the best things I've ever done."

JONATHAN STERLING: The 17-year-old, from Market Drayton, is a talented guitarist and singer. He impressed with his version of I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. Jonathan said: "It's incredible when you walk out on stage. I have really enjoyed it and Jonathan Wilkes is the nicest guy."

SU ANNAGIB: The 28-year-old teacher at Stoke-on-Trent College was named overall winner after a stunning performance of Think Twice by Celine Dion. Su, of Bradeley, said: "It felt amazing. The crowd helped me through. I can't believe how many people were out there. I loved it."
