Get into the festive spirit
ONE of Staffordshire's top tourist attractions is inviting the public to get into the Christmas spirit at a seasonal fayre.
The Shugborough estate, near Stafford, is to host the winter fayre between December 7 and 9.
It will include gift ideas for Christmas, crafts, a food and gift marquee, an ice rink, fairground rides, and a Santa's grotto.
Visitors can also see how the Victorians decorated their grand houses for the festive season.

And inside Shugborough's own mansion house, there will be a magical candle-lit celebration, with fresh flowers, Christmas decorations and trees on display.
Councillor Pat Corfield, Staffordshire County Council's cabinet member for culture and community, said: "The effort put into making the house and grounds come alive at Christmas makes a visit to the mansion unmissable."
Advance tickets for the winter fayre cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and £15 for a family ticket.
The candlelit mansion house will be open from 3pm to 9pm, and will cost an additional £4 for adults, with children under 13 being allowed inside the house for free.
