Welcome to CBS Lettings & Legal

We offer legal assistance in the above areas and also others such as Family Law and Divorce, although our current work is mainly in Landlord and Tenant Law and surrounding housing problems, hence the rebranding to CBS Lettings & Legal.

We offer a full service to Landlords and Tenants and also the general public who need help and assistance with legal and housing matters. We are not able to offer any funded legal assistance or advice and we deal only with private paying clients. We are not a firm of Solicitors although the proprietor of the firm does have legal qualifications and many years experience in giving legal advice and assistance.

We also have a Housing Maintenance department that provides housing repair and renovation to Landlords and also the private householder. All areas of the building trade are provided for by in house staff and also contractors who have a close relationship with CBS and all tradesmen are qualified and approved by various organisations such as ‘Gas Safe’ and Napit and can provide the relevant certificates and comply with building regulations.

CBS is divided into three departments:-

LETTINGS

We can provide a full letting and management service or tenant find and let only.

We can also provide services for drafting and approving tenancies and leases in both the residential and commercial sector.

LEGAL

As briefly mentioned above we offer legal advice and assistance in many areas but predominantly the area of Landlord and Tenant. We can assist with bad tenants, rent recovery and property repossession. A lot of the services in this area are offered free to landlords with the full property management package, all that landlords would pay is the disbursements such as the court fee. With evictions costing upwards of £500.00 this is a very valuable added benefit that other letting agents cannot provide.

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

We can provide property repair and maintenance for property owners every need, from small jobs to complete property renovation with complete project management or anything in between!
