EMAIL sentinelbusiness@thesentinel.co.uk stating which category or categories you wish to enter along with your name, business and telephone numbers.

Once your email has been received you will be sent an entry pack for the award/awards you wish to enter. Entries close on January 31.

Judges will then convene to make their decisions and the awards will be presented at a ceremony at the King's Hall, Stoke, in March, 2013.

Each entry will be featured in The Sentinel – promoting your business to tens of thousands of people across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

Entries will feature in the paper every Monday and Wednesday.

Companies reaching the finals of the awards will be profiled in films – sponsored by Dains – to be shown at the awards presentation dinner.

Apprentice of the Year (sponsored by Stoke-on-Trent College);

Entrepreneur of the Year (sponsored by Keele University Science and Business Park);

Young Business Person of the Year (sponsored by Beswicks Solicitors). Entrants must be aged 40 or under on January 1, 2012;

Training Excellence Award (sponsored by Ageas Insurance Solutions);

Business Innovation Award (sponsored by the Business Innovation Centre);

Environmental Business Award (sponsored by Lister Trade Frames);

Small Business of the Year (sponsored by Stoke-on-Trent City Council). Turnover should not exceed £5 million during an entrant's most recent full trading year;

Community Engagement Award (Sponsored by The Prince's Charities);

International Trade Award (sponsored by UK Trade and Investment);

Science in Business Award (sponsored by Staffordshire University);

Business of the Year (sponsored by Barclays). Open to companies with an annual turnover in excess of £5 million.
