Thank-you from the Dougie Mac

Thursday, June 25, 2009, 09:20

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice would like to thank local people for their continued support, particularly in the face of the current economic climate. The hospice needs voluntary donations of money, time, goods and services to maintain the quality of care that families across North Staffordshire depend on when facing terminal illness. Thank you to:

Castle Hill House, Alton, for £200 from the sale of cards.

North Staffs Fuel Society, Leek, for a £337 donation.

Morrisons, Newcastle, for £67.92 from collection.

Jaguar Enthusiasts Club for £72 from a raffle.

Inner Wheel Club, Cheadle, for a £50 donation.

Old Mill Workingmen's Club, Trentham, £75 collection.

Goodwins Jewellers, Hanley, for £20 from Sandstone Trail.

Wolstanton Golf Club for £120 from ladies hostess day.

Southern Electric Contracting, Stoke, for a £2,000 after winning a health and safety award.

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice wishes to thank the 1,500 ladies who joined the Midnight to Sunrise Walk on Friday. Particular thanks to our sponsors, Stoke City FC, Wardle Transport, Connextions and to the 200 volunteers who helped.

Please come and shop at any one of our 12 shops, pick up a bargain and help to provide care for people facing terminal illness.

Our shops are open from Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am until 4.30pm and are situated at Alsager, Biddulph, Cheadle, Hanley, Kidsgrove, Leek, Longton, Meir, Newcastle, Stoke and Tunstall.

New Dougie Mac shops opening soon: We need volunteers to work in our shops in Hanford, Chesterton and Silverdale.
