“no excuse for any man to hit a woman. Mrs Wivens has a proper sharp tongue on her and a sure aim with a rolling pin or a saucepan or a plate that I've occasionally been subjected to in our nearly thirty years of marriage but I've never laid a finger on her for it no matter what she's said or done. Stormed off up to the pub or Con Club or just gone for a walk, but punching a woman? that's the act of a weasel and a coward.”

“Oh Mr Wivens violence is violence and you should never have had to go out of the way. Plates being thrown, saucepans contacting the head!!!! If it happens again call 999 and get the bail money ready if you are daft enough to want to live with someone so aggressive.
We all know what Dennis Waterman's views on women are and it was well documented at the time that he was a pig to her. Its just that todays press weren't born at the time!
Apparently, more recently women are accepting violence as part of a relationship because of rap music. Eminem and Rihanna telling him she loves it when it burns? What about our Stokie anthem of Delilha? Blimey, sex with another bloke is cause for a knife in the stomach! Justifiable that! Or what about Tracy thingy who had a row with her bloke and was so traumatised that she had the wit to hide the weapon in the petrol tank? Who carries a knife on a date!!!!! Hello dear heart, guess what we are going bear hunting!!
Can we just say that if she was anything like my mum an expensive, pride and joy, figurine would be aiming towards his head? But, pity for us, we had to duck pretty fast. Its okay, I'm taking up the offer of therapy!!!”
“Not local, but Dennis Waterman, the actor, has admitted in an interview with Piers Morgan that he punched his ex-wife Rula Lenska, claiming “it’s not difficult for a woman to make a man hit her”.
What do you think?”
