    “TONY OAKMAN

He is a man with far too much power over public services already,

lets not forget the children' centre fiasco was as much a services directorate decision as a children's directorate decision the DR is just the fall guy for the fiasco. Tony Oakman is just as much to blame should he not go too? not be given more ABUSE to flounder and fail, this time in charge of some of the most important services a council delivers. The city should not fail those little children who need proper care and attention . Am i just old fashioned that we need someone who is experienced in delivering children's services and actually has the best interests of our most vulnerable in society at the forefront of their minds. Not a megalomaniac who uses already over worked services against members of the public for personal gain to stop them complaining by using his minions to do his bidding whilst he sits in his ivory tower keeping his hands clean. No his hands are dirty he abuses his power, as countless members of the public can testify too, he lets the most vulnerable, down abusing the public, closing services such as day care services with no consultation . is it not time the the man was brought to book and answer for some abuses he has perpetrated on the people of stoke on trent.

NEVER MIND THE DR GOING TONY OAKMAN SHOULD GO NOW!!!!!!!”

“Is TONY OAKMAN the Director of Adult and Public Services and acting Director of Children's services an official with now far too much power in the city council.

Let's not forget the children' centre fiasco was as much the Directorate of Public Services fault as a Directorate of Children's Services. Is the former Director of Children's Services the fall guy for the fiasco created by Tony Oakman? If he is just as much to blame for the issues at the council as she is... Should he not go too? Certainly he should not be given more power as there are 100's of complaints already about him abusing his power. Incredibly, this time he will be in charge of some of the most important services that a council delivers. Should someone who has his failure record now be allowed to fail children who are in real proper need of care and attention?

We need someone who is experienced and qualified in delivering children's services and actually has the best interests of the most vulnerable in our society at the forefront of their minds. Not someone who is effectively moonlighting.

Sadly, there are too many accusations regards Tony Oakman's behaviour in his current role, apparently stopping people complaining by using facets of his department to do his bidding and to scare off people from further complaints, whilst he sits in his ivory tower keeping his hands clean, allegedly. As far as people are concerned, he has let the most vulnerable members of the public down, closing services such as day care services with no or little consultation.

It is alleged that he is responsible for all the pollution in the city as he has allowed factories in the inner urban core to pollute nieghbourhoods without enforcing a permit.

Is it not time that Tony Oakman was brought to book and answers for some of the accusation and
wrong doing he has perpetrated on the people of Stoke-on-Trent?

NEVER MIND THE FORMER DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES GOING BY RIGHTS TONY OAKMAN SHOULD GO TOO!!!!!!!”

“Totally agree hanleygal. Why has Stoke City Council refused the grant offered by the Government and put up council tax when there is so little employment here, food prices, petrol prices etc are going through the roof. How do they think people can afford to pay the rise and where are they going to get the money from??? Unlike the Council, who give themselves rises, no one is in any position to pay out more money.”

“They are only interest in money they get. It as been very noticeable to me how a few years ago the information with the Council Tax bill included details of how much the public sector pension where costing including the Police and Fire Brigade, this last few years it as been kept out of the propaganda booklet they send with the bills why? It can only mean it costs the tax payers that much they daren't make it public any more.”

“That's the philosophy of this useless and incompetent council "Let's make 'em pay more and give 'em less". In spite of the FACT that they did not need to do this (Govt. grant), there are some residents of our city that insist on voting for these losers!”

“i feel the labour controlled cllr should have taken the 2% offer from central government, i heard cllr Pervez make state that its only 50 something pence a week for band A etc, and that because their was x % having housing and council tax etc support from central government it would not effect the poorest . that's sending out a message of don't bother going to try and get yourself of the sofa to look for work or if you are hardworking but need x amount in wages to feed a cloth your family to make ends as your 50 pence a week better off doing nothing. it just breeds more of a dependence culture. I know its only 50 pence a week but it all adds up when making decisions. If they would have taken the 2 % offer ppl would have in effect 50 pence back in our own pocket for the user to decide what his her priorities are to spend it on and not the councillors.”
