“Stoke on Trent Councils Nursery/Primary School admissions policy is an utter joke!
Why did S-O-T Coucnil decide to alter the way schools admit pupils? My son was registered at John Bakeyfield (VC) CofE Primary school since he was 18 Months of age, he was the first name in his birth month on the schools register for this Septembers Nursery intake, then in December 2011 we had a letter of the school, informing us that Stoke Council had now decided to take over the admissions, and we had to re submit the forms.
Our eldest, has got his place at The Co-operative Academy (Brownhills) 100 yards away from John Baskeyfield, yet our youngest has been refused his placement at John Baskeyfield & there is no appeals process for the Nursery intake, we are now faced with the prospect of having to move our eldest to another High School, to enable us to be able to take both children to school!
All because some jobsworth at Stoke Council, has not bothered to look into the reason given for us needing to send our son to John baskeyfield, We had to move home, well we were made to take the offer of an house, by, Stoke on Trent Council, due to massive harassment problems & we were assured by the schools that this would not affect our sons Nursery place, all until Stoke Council altered the admissions policy.
I hope whoever it is who makes these decisions, rots in hell!!”
