“Injust desserts!
Depressingly and almost frightenly acceptibly we read and hear daily of many injusties which occur within our judicial system. These injustices are seen when the guilty walk free to mingle with the most vulnerable people on our streets and the innocent are unlawfully locked away and coldily deprived of their liberty, family and friends.
Most recently and for the first time in a court room, I attended Hanley small claims court as a claimant with deep seated good old family values of 'justice would prevail', 'the truth will out' and 'honesty is then best policy'.
Much to my disbelief and an eerily saddness the preciding, very experienced Judge, fell foul to an avalanche of lies, lies which he internalised, digested and contentidly summoned up as his idea of prevailing truth and justice.
This chilling verdict has left me with a scarily quiet cold feeling and gaping cracks in our great British judicial system which underpins the very foundations on which our society is built and depends on for its continued civilised existence.
In this case, my case, I certainly I certainly got my injust desserts.
Yours honestly”
