A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise awareness of dental practices currently taking on NHS patients.

Co-ordinated by South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) 'Why go miles for your smiles' is promoting the choice of dental services available in Stone.

Jim Barlow, head of the PCT, said: "It is important people don't wait until they get a toothache before going to a dentist when they can visit a local NHS dentist to get a check-up and avoid unwanted pain and discomfort."

PCT representatives will be in the centre of Stone on Tuesday to hand out information and to give advice on dental treatment.

The three dentists currently accepting new NHS Patients in Stone are: Regency House Dental Practice, Whitecross Dental Care Ltd, and Abbey Street Dental Practice.
