Dental care highlighted

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise awareness of dental practices currently taking on NHS patients.

The campaign, called Why go miles for your smiles, is promoting surgeries in the http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/mytownstafford">Stafford area with vacancies for patients.

Jim Barlow, South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust head of primary care, said: "There is the perception an NHS dentist is like gold dust to find and this is not the case. In and around Stafford we have three dentists taking on new patients immediately.

"A team will be in the Guildhall Shopping Centre, http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/mytownstafford">Stafford, on Friday and Saturday, to offer information to prospective new patients and provide advice and guidance on dental treatment."
