I'd do the same if I was in Jade Goody's position
JADE IS A STAR: I was saddened to read Mr Horton's letter on Jade Goody on Monday, February 16.
First of all may I state my sympathy for Mr Horton's tragic family loss but I could not believe, having been through this situation himself, his lack of sympathy for Jade's family and her situation.
-

A STAR: jade Goody has highlighted an important issue for women.
As a 31-year-old mother of two with young children I would, in her situation, do exactly the same by making sure my children's financial future was to be sorted.
The only lucky part of Jade's story is that she is in a situation where she can do this and anyone who would say that they would not is a liar.
Through being in the media spotlight she has highlighted the importance of cervical smear tests to a great deal of women across England including myself and many of my friends and if that means one less woman dying and not having to explain that mummy is going to heaven, then surely that makes anyone a star.

“Faced with Jade Goody's sad situation, I would do the exact same thing if I had the means.
After all's said and done, all Jade has done is continue working for as long as possible, which anyone with a terminal illness tries to do as it gives them something else to think about rather than sitting at home, emotionally and tortuously counting their days away.
All Jade wants is for her sons to remember her - so that in years to come her sons, both having the world at their feet after completing the best possible education, will look to the heavens and say "Thanks mum, YOU did this for us".
I would like to add that this is not 'just my opinion'. I lost both my mother and fiancĂ© to cancer, and I cared for them both during their individual illnesses - and I still support Jade Goody.”

“Forget everything you've read, or seen about Jade.
Right now, Jade is a powerful figure head who has raised awareness of cervical cancer so much, hospitals are seen an 80% increase in women having scans.
On the point Warren made about cashing in and the only winner is max clifford, I think your wrong.
There are three winners.
The women whose lives have might be saved by screening.
Jade wins on two counts. First one is to create some security so her young children can be brought up with some financial clout, giving her peace of mind knowing she's given them a head start. That cash will never replace their mummy, but will help them.
The second thing Jade gets to win on is that she has finally done something worthy with her life. Thats her legacy.
Ok, lastly Max Clifford is a winner. Lets hope he feels it in his heart to donate all proceeds to a charity of Jades choice.”

“Jades done the thing for her, the papers have made a living out of her, at 21 she left BB house with headlinds resembling her to a pig, good luck to her, get what she can for her kids. Her story has brought attention to other cancer suffers & encouraged people to take up screening.”
