When will the council listen?
I HAVE just learned the city council intends to build a new 25 metre pool at Dimensions, I believe they are putting up £500,000 and hope to secure further funding from elsewhere to proceed with this project which would cost around £7 million.
How can they say they have to cut lots of vital services because of budget cuts. We continually asked if there was money to help with Shelton pool update and were always fobbed off.
-

NEW POOL: Dimensions.
Surely this money and the money paid to Mo Chaudry over Dimensions would have gone along way to refurbishing Shelton pool?
Dimensions pool seems to satisfy some people's needs but Shelton was such a vital need to hundreds of people especially babies and children who have nowhere else to go to.
I really think the Government should have stepped in to take charge of our council.
John van de Laarschot was employed to do this job, so why two years down the line does he need an assistant to help? I think if you are employed to do a job as important as this you should be able to do so.
Why can he not understand what so many people have gone through by losing so many important things to us?
When the council offers talks with residents to get their opinions, it is a total waste of time.
We went through these talks in 2010, all to no avail as they have continued to do what they want not what we want and pay for.
When will these people start to listen to us.

“Helen Burgess you and Mole 10 have got it spot on.
If you want to put a label on this council that evicted a 90 year old widow while she was in care I think Jackboot thugs would not be far off the mark.
We are deliberatley being mislead and conned by Pervez and his monkeys.
After all how can you believe Meredith when he has openly lied to them and shows no shame?”

“Labour Councillors think we are all too thick to understand that they need to close care homes and pools to balance a budget.
We do understand and we are not thick about balancing a budget.
We just wouldn't shut care homes or pools to balance anyone's budget.”
