RESIDENTS are being asked for their memories of a former colliery as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Barratt Homes is currently developing Heritage Park on the site of the former Silverdale Colliery.

It wants to put together an exhibition to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee that will help keep the history of site alive.

Residents are being invited to contribute photographs and written accounts of their memories for the display at Barratt's sales office on the site.
