Class Act
THE Sentinel has once again teamed up with Barclays to reward schools in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
All primary, secondary, special schools and colleges are being invited to take part in the Class Act campaign, in a bid to win one of three £5,000 prizes.
Teachers are invited to nominate a project, of any kind, at their school which is in need of funding.
The nominations will run until November 30.
Barclays is currently running a programme to improve people’s financial capability. Barclays Money Skills projects range from an innovative learning resource, teaching young people essential skills such as budgeting and affordable credit, to working with a homeless charity giving young people the know-how to maintain a tenancy and open a bank account.
“By engaging our people to make use of their unique banking skills, we aim to make a positive difference in helping young people manage their money better every single day,” said Kathy Brown, Barclays’ Community Relations Manager.
