Tasty treats for the family

FAMILIES will get the chance to hunt for tasty treats at a Staffordshire beauty spot this weekend.

Apedale Community Country Park will be hosting an Easter egg hunt tomorrow and Monday, April 13.

The Newcastle Countryside Project is hosting the fun-filled sessions from 10.30am to 3pm.

It costs £2 to take part in the activity which will start from the Newcastle Countryside Project Centre, off Loomer Road, in Chesterton.

Local county councillor Eddie Boden said the event promised to be lots of fun.

He said: "This is a great way to get out and about during the Bank Holiday weekend without breaking the bank – a real bonus at the moment. The Easter egg hunt will appeal to the children's sense of fun and there is plenty for the adults."
