Posties return to work after unofficial strike

DELIVERY staff at Royal Mail's Leek Road office have returned to work after walking out on Friday in an unofficial strike.

They went out on strike after they were told they would not be paid if they refused to cross their colleagues' picket line.

Processing and distribution staff at the same office have been taking official action since August 11 over plans to move their work to Wolverhampton.

Area delivery representative, Malcolm Brundrett, said: "The delivery staff have taken the view that today is the right time to return to work. However, they have offered support for their distribution colleagues."
