CHESHIRE: Volunteers are needed to join a group which has a say on a range of rural issues across South Cheshire.

The successful applicants would become members of Cheshire East Local Access Forum, which meets up to four times a year.

The independent advisory group provides advice to public-sector bodies and charities on countryside access issues.

A Cheshire East Council spokesman said: "In appointing new members, we have to balance a range of interests, including recreational use, land management, the rural economy and nature conservation."
