ABBEY HULTON: A trial has been fixed at North Staffordshire Justice Centre for Stuart Meredith, aged 37, of Eaveswood Road, Abbey Hulton, who denies using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent in Tunstall. He was bailed to appear again on April 8.
HANLEY: A suspected thief had her court case postponed due to ill health. Gillian Green aged 45, of Lower Bethesda Street, Hanley, had her case at North Staffordshire Justice Centre adjourned until February 8. She is accused of theft from a shop, and was bailed.
MEIR: A 12-month conditional discharge was imposed by magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Bernice Fox, aged 58, of Uttoxeter Road, Meir, after she pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Victoria Road, Fenton, on January 11. The defendant was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
HANLEY: An adjournment until March 14 was granted at North Staffordshire Justice Centre to Darren Potts, aged 39, of Bucknall New Road, Hanley, because he is currently in hospital. The defendant faces an allegation of theft of fencing from Birches Head High School in February last year.

BUCKNALL: Luke Bailey, aged 20, of Paisley Close, Bucknall, was given a 12-month conditional discharge by magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre after he admitted being drunk and disorderly. He must also pay £85 costs.
LONGTON: Roderick Preston, aged 55, of Heathcote Road, Longton, has denied two offences of assaulting police officers on January 20. His trial has been fixed at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on April 5. He was bailed.
