BURSLEM: Stealing a £39 bottle of aftershave earned Steven Moore, aged 24, of Louise Street, Burslem a 12-month conditional discharge.

Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre imposed the sentence after Moore admitted taking the bottle from Boots in Hanley, on January 4. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 with a £15 victim surcharge.

HANLEY: Fines and costs totalling £175 were imposed by magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Nathan Lloyd Jones, aged 25, of Rutland Street, Hanley, who pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at Hanley on November 10 last year.

NORTON: Mark Felton has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court charged with affray at Norton on November 5 last year. Felton, aged 52, of Spragg House Lane, Norton, indicated to magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre he would plead not guilty. He was granted unconditional bail.

BURSLEM: A trial has been fixed at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on March 21 for Lee Bloor, aged 32, of Newport Lane, Burslem, who denies burgling a shed in the garden of a house in Pinnox Street, Tunstall, and stealing a rod and fishing reel on December 6 last year.
