COBRIDGE: A teenager has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court charged with three matters under the Sexual Offences Act.
Nineteen-year-old Ashley Ecclestone, of Furnival Street, Cobridge, faces allegations of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity on or about May 1, 2008, intentionally causing a child to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity between May 1, 2008 and March 31, 2010 and intentionally sexually touching a child between May 1, 2008 and March 31, 2010. The teenager was conditionally bailed by North Staffordshire Magistrates to re-appear for a plea and case management hearing on December 10.
Ecclestone's solicitor has indicated not guilty pleas will be entered.

The Wheatsheaf, in High Street, Cheadle, was awarded a gold star in in the Loo of the Year Awards 2012.
The respected rating was awarded after toilet judges made an unannounced visit to the Wetherspoon watering hole.
Pub manager Stephen Boddie, said: "I am delighted. The staff work very hard to make sure the toilets are in first-class condition at all times, and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors."
Mike Bone, managing director of the Loo of the Year Awards, said: "The pub richly deserves its gold award."
NORMACOT: A man accused of assaulting a woman is to go on trial.
David Swanwick, aged 50, of Argyll Road, Normacot, is to be tried at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on January 24. He denies a charge of common assault on Gill Bryan at Cheadle on August 7. He was bailed by magistrates.
