CHEADLE: A man and a woman have been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court charged with drug offences. Jason Adams, aged 23, of Queen Street, Cheadle and Colesha Jones, aged 20 and also of Queen Street, face a charge of possessing 27.38 grams of Class B drug mephedrone with intent to supply at Cheadle on August 24. Adams also faces an allegation of possession of cannabis on May 4. They have both entered not guilty pleas and were unconditionally bailed by North Staffordshire Magistrates to appear at the crown court for a plea and case management hearing on November 13.

BUCKNALL: A mother-of-two who claimed more than £7,000 in income support and housing benefit will be sentenced at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court next week. Samantha Bailey, aged 27, of Bryant Road, Bucknall, has pleaded guilty to two offences of failing to notify a change in circumstances involving the Department of Works and Pensions and Stoke-on-Trent City Council in September 2010 and October 2011.

BUCKNALL: Committal to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court will take place on December 14 in the case of Richard Queen, aged 35, of Causeley Road, Bucknall, who is charged with an affray at Bucknall, on September 14. He has indicated a not guilty plea. The defendant was granted bail by magistrates.
