LONGTON: Commuters were caught up in queues of traffic after two cars collided during yesterday's morning rush hour. A silver Audi and a gold Citroen Saxo were involved in the incident at about 7.30am.
Police cordoned off the A50 slip road at the junction with Heathcote Street, in Longton.
The incident was cleared at 8.30am and Staffordshire Police confirmed nobody was injured.
A spokesman for the force said: "We received a call at 7.25am to reports of a road traffic collision.

LONGTON: Following a guilty plea to being drunk and disorderly in Hanley town centre on October 7, Daddy Semega-Janneh, aged 30, of Old School Lane, Longton, was fined £70 with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge by North Staffordshire Magistrates.
NEWCASTLE: There will be a trial on December 14 for Deborah Kemp, aged 38, of Cherry Close, Newcastle, who is charged with two offences of failing to notify a change of circumstances concerning the Department of Works and Pensions and Newcastle Borough Council. She was unconditionally bailed by North Staffordshire magistrates.
BIDDULPH: Following a not guilty plea at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court to a charge of assault, Dean Coppenhall, aged 28, of Cross Street, Biddulph, will go on trial at the Newcastle court on December 18 and was conditionally bailed.
BLYTHE BRIDGE: A fine of £70 with £35 costs and a £15 victim surcharge was imposed by North Staffordshire Magistrates on Andrew Cheadle, aged 42, of Rydal Way, Clayton, after he admitted an offence of driving without due care and attention at Blythe Bridge level crossing on July 27.
PENKHULL: A case of criminal damage alleged against Lucas Sutton, aged 23, of Newcastle Lane, Penkhull, has been withdrawn on evidential grounds by the Crown Prosecution Service at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court.
KIDSGROVE: Mark Clayton, aged 45, of Gloucester Road, Kidsgrove, will have a trial at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court on November 29. He is accused of failing to provide a specimen for analysis on September 17 and resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty. He denies both matters.
