BIDDULPH: Organisers behind a charity disco have raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Sue Ashman, aged 56, staged a party and buffet at Knypersley Sports Club, in Tunstall Road, Biddulph, which was attended by about 60 people.
Sue, who lives in Knypersley, said the evening was a huge success.
"Everyone said they had a wonderful time," she said.

BENTILEE: After he admitted being in breach of bail conditions imposed on him at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on August 20, North Staffordshire Magistrates re-bailed Neil Minshall, aged 48, of Beverley Drive, Bentilee until his next court hearing.
TRENT VALE: Almost £1,000 was raised at a charity concert night.
The cash was donated by employees of housing maintenance firm Kier who organised the Kier Rocks event at Trent Vale Working Men's Club. The money will be presented to children's charity, Barnardo's.
CREWE: Book-lovers can snap up a bargain when a sale of withdrawn library stock takes place at Crewe Library from Friday.
The sale is due to run until Saturday, November 10, and will include CDs, DVDs, console games and books.
MAER: An autumn fair will be held at Maer Village Hall on Saturday at 2pm.
There will be lots of stalls selling local produce and gifts and the last remaining copies of the 'Maer Book' will be on sale.
Free admission and free parking.
WERRINGTON: A prize bingo session will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, October 27, in Werrington village hall.
