SILVERDALE: A 26-year-old man charged with dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol on September 17 will be committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court next month. Edward Barrs-Wilshaw, of Bath Road, Silverdale, gave no indication of his plea and jurisdiction was declined by North Staffordshire magistrates. He was unconditionally bailed until November 13 when committal proceedings will take place.
MEIR: John Doughty has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court accused of assaulting Cheryl Dale occasioning her actual bodily harm at Meir on August 20. The 22-year-old, of Leacroft Road, Meir, will appear at crown court for a plea and case management hearing on October 26. The defendant was granted conditional bail.
BLURTON: Christopher Jones, aged 43, of Orford Way, Blurton, will stand trial at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court after pleading not guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour which was racially aggravated on September 10.
The defendant will stand trial on November 21 and was granted unconditional bail.

SILVERDALE: Kiely Walsh, aged 24, of Mill Street, Newcastle, has denied using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent at Silverdale on September 18. He is now due to stand trial at was North Staffordshire Magistrates Court on December 17 and was granted bail.
COBRIDGE: Ashley Ecclestone, aged 19, of Furnival Street, Cobridge, who is charged with three offences under the Sexual Offences Act is to be committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on November 13.
