BIGNALL END: Kelly Taylor, aged 31, has been fined £90 after she failed to promptly notify the benefit authorities she was working.

The defendant, of Albert Street, Bignall End, yesterday pleaded guilty to failing to promptly notify the Department for Works and Pensions (DWP) she was working which she knew would affect her entitlement to Jobseekers Allowance.

And she admitted failing to notify a change in her circumstances in relation to her claims for housing and council tax benefits.

North Staffordshire magistrates heard Taylor did not promptly tell the authorities she was working at Audley and District Workingmen's Club. She was overpaid a total of £2,998.19 benefits.
