BURSLEM: Two women and a man have been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court charged with keeping a brothel.

Hayley Jackson, aged 35, Tracey Terry, aged 48 and Darren Talbot, aged 45, are all accused of running a brothel at Cherries Lounge, Burslem, between January 1, 2011 and January 17, 2012.

Jackson, of Ruthin Road, Bentilee, Talbot, also of Ruthin Road, Bentilee, and Terry, of Hartshill Road, Stoke, will appear at crown court for a plea and case management hearing on October 1.

North Staffordshire magistrates granted them conditional bail.

FORSBROOK: David Moore, aged 47, of Manifold Road, Forsbrook, has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court accused of possessing 100 grams of heroin with intent to supply on April 24.

North Staffordshire magistrates granted the defendant unconditional bail until his plea and case management hearing at the crown court on October 1.

BUCKNALL: Paul Dale, aged 24, of Langford Road, Bucknall, has pleaded guilty to assaulting Nathan Lomas by beating at Hanley on August 11. North Staffordshire magistrates adjourned sentence for reports until September 28.

The defendant was granted unconditional bail.

NEWCASTLE: A trial was fixed at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court for a 25-year-old man who denies a charge of exposing a child in a manner likely to cause it unnecessary suffering or injury to health.

The defendant will appear in court again on November 6 and was granted unconditional bail.

An order was made under the Children and Young Persons Act to not print anything that would lead to the identification of the child.

SMALLTHORNE: Daniel Baines, aged 24, of Sparrow Street, Smallthorne, has been committed to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after he pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Sean Clarke and assault with intent to resist arrest on Wayne Flowers both on July 26.

He will appear for a case management hearing at crown court on October 1 and was conditionally bailed by North Staffordshire magistrates.
