TUNSTALL: Drink-driver Anthony Brough was banned from driving for 18 months after admitting an offence of drink driving on August 11 this year where the reading was 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Brough, aged 38, of Bank Street, Tunstall, was also fined £295 with £55 costs. and a £15 victim surcharge.

MEIR: A trial was fixed at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court for Steven Rowland, aged 31, of Pennington Close, Meir. He is charged with two offences of common assault on March 24 this year. It will take place on October 24 and until then he was bailed by the court.

DRESDEN: Adam Rushton, aged 20, of Churchfield Avenue, Dresden, will stand trial at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court on October 15 after he denied failing without a reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order imposed on December 1 last year.

CHESTERTON: After admitting failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court on July 4 this year, Sarah Clarke, aged 20, of Castle Street, Chesterton, was allowed to continue with the order. But to mark the breach she will have to undertake six sessions of the alcohol work book.

STOKE: Chef Damien Butler was banned from driving for 16 months by North Staffordshire Magistrates. The defendant, aged 26, of London Road, Stoke, pleaded guilty to an offence of excess alcohol on August 12 this year in Campbell Road, Stoke, where the reading was 53 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He further admitted failing to stop after an accident. Butler was fined £330, with £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
