In brief
STOKE-ON-TRENT: Places are available on a course for young people wanting to improve their chances of finding a job.
The Prince's Trust is running a number of courses throughout the year in Stoke, Newcastle, Burslem and Stafford. The 12-week courses give 16 to 25-year-olds the chance to gain practical skills, new friends, self-belief, and help with getting a job.
Anyone interested in signing up should contact Jan Lillie on 01782 603790 or email jlill1sc@stokecoll.ac.uk.
TUNSTALL: Youngsters can be part of the buzz at Tunstall Library on Saturday. Staff will be telling bee-themed stories before inviting children to make a bee mobile to take home. The event, for five to 11-year-olds, runs in two sessions from 10am until 11am, and 11am until noon. Booking essential. Call 01782 238471.
