In brief: News from Meir, Cheadle, Sandbach, Keele, Bentilee and Cobridge
SNEYD GREEN: After admitting failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order, North Staffordshire magistrates revoked the order and fined Lee Walley, aged 24, of Pleydell Street, Sneyd Green, £50 with £60 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
COBRIDGE: A warrant without bail was issued by North Staffordshire magistrates for William Phillips, aged 40, of Hawthorne Street, Cobridge, who failed to turn up at court for an offence of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made in June last year.
MEIR: North Staffordshire magistrates adjourned the case against Victoria Birks, aged 39, of Harrowby Road, Meir, for three weeks for the preparation of reports. Birks pleaded guilty to damaging a police car and will appear in court again on February 26 for sentence. She was unconditionally bailed.
CHEADLE: There will be a trial of the issue in the case of Shaun Sales, of Churchill Road, Cheadle, who pleaded guilty at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court to common assault and criminal damage. The hearing will take place on April 14 and the 36-year-old was given unconditional bail.
SANDBACH: There will be a free antique valuation and gold buying day at The Limes, in Sweettooth Lane, Sandbach, on Tuesday, February 16 from 12pm to 3pm.
KEELE: Stoke-on-Trent South Rotary Club is holding a jazz brunch for the Midlands Air Ambulance on Sunday at Keele Hall from 12pm to 5pm. Tickets cost £17.50. Call 01782 313874.
BENTILEE: Michael Haddon, aged 21, of Beverley Drive, Bentilee, who pleaded guilty to two counts of theft, was conditionally bailed until February 19 by North Staffordshire magistrates.
