In brief: News from Blurton, North Staffs, Kidsgrove, Fenton and Longton
BLURTON: A not guilty plea was entered by Simon Vincent, aged 37, of Ripon Road, Blurton, to an allegation of harassment in January this year. There will be a trial at North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court on May 27, and a case management hearing on May 11. Vincent was given unconditional bail.
NORTH STAFFS: Members of the North Staffordshire fund-raising group for Marie Curie Cancer Care have set a date for their next meeting.
It will take place at Stoke Health Centre, in Honeywall, Stoke, on Monday, April 12.
The meeting will run between 10am and 12pm.
KIDSGROVE: North Staffordshire magistrates granted an adjournment until March 31 in the case against Darren Phillips, aged 38, of First Avenue, Kidsgrove, who is accused of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made in August last year.
FENTON: Agnes Davies is hosting an evening of mediumship at Fenton Spiritualist Church, King Street, next Thursday at 7.30pm. The evening costs £3 per person to be paid on the door.

LONGTON: Nicola Barber, aged 34, of Bambury Street, Longton, who is charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, and failing to stop after an accident on January 1 this year, had her case adjourned until March 24.
BLURTON: Steven Barker, aged 24, of Blurton Road, Blurton, who is accused of possessing a quantity of cannabis on February 24 this year, will appear in the video-link court on March 24. He was given unconditional bail by North Staffordshire magistrates.
