FORMER pottery workers have been invited to try out life as a freelance.

Kent-based animal ceramics producer Quail is looking to employ a modeller on a freelance basis to work from their home as and when needed.

Company owner Debbie Beevor said the perfect candidate would be an experienced modeller used to accurately representing animal life and could be someone who has recently been made redundant as the pottery industry has declined. She said: "Stoke-on-Trent has a wealth of experience and an awful lot of talent going to waste.

"I would be quite happy to travel up there to see someone.

"If it works out we could start out with one design and then build it up."

The company produces its range of birds and animals in Thailand.

Anyone interested should contact Miss Beevor on 01304 379901 or via info@quailceramics.co.uk.
