EVANGELINA Cooper brought the house down when she sang a duet with Jonathan Wilkes at the Stoke's Top Talent final.

The 13-year-old, from Packmoor, above with Jonny, fulfilled a lifetime's ambition when she sang Robbie Williams' Angels to a packed crowd at The Regent.

Evangelina, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, grabbed perhaps the biggest cheer of the night from a crowd which clapped along and enjoyed every second of her performance.

She said: "It was fabulous, so amazing. It felt incredible, just to go out there and show I have got something good.

"That was the best thing I have ever done."

Evangelina auditioned for Stoke's Top Talent, but wasn't put through to the final stages. Jonny then jumped on stage to make her an offer to perform with him in the final, and was true to his word.

    “To Gillian of Hartshill
There is one on You tube but is quite hard to find. It would be nice to see it from another view and I have asked The Sentinel for a copy of whatever they filmed of Evie but they haven't got back to me yet. Please feel free to put it on”

“I have the honour of being one of Evie's extremely proud uncles (Evie's Mum is my sister). Distance (3,500 miles) kept my wife Sue and I from seeing Evie's performance in person, but having heard her sing: fearlessly, proudly, joyfully, I know she's one of life's true performers. Sincere thanks to Jonathan Wilkes and everyone connected with the competition for giving Evie this opportunity. And Evie ... you'll always be my super star! Well done on a fantastic performance. You deserve your moment in the spotlight, and no doubt this will be just one of the many more headlines you'll be making. Love, Uncle Gary and Auntie Sue, Wilmington, DE, USA”

And, bravo to the folks at Stoke's Got Talent for making your debut happen. The world is your oyster.”
