Put your best foot forward to help Christian Aid
NORTH Staffs Christian Aid's annual sponsored walk around Tittesworth Reservoir will take place next month.
Last year's event raised £52,678 for the charity and in the last five years it has generated more than £250,000.
Organiser John Bamford said: "Every year about 500 people take part, there's always a good atmosphere with so many marvellous people giving up a Saturday morning to help.
"The money is used by Christian Aid in trouble spots throughout the world wherever there is need."
This year's walk will be held on April 2 at Tittesworth Reservoir. Registration starts from 9.15am and the walk officially sets off at 10am.
It will be launched Loretta Minghella, director of Christian Aid to mark the 21 anniversary of the start walk, together with the Bishop of Stafford the Right Reverend Geoff Annas and the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Denver Tolley.
Walkers will get a free car park sticker.
They have a choice of two routes – a two mile stroll or a five mile route round the reservoir.
Sponsor forms are available from local churches or John Bamford on 01782 516 137.
