Supermarket takes action after man lost half his face
Kevin Brookshaw was a member of staff at the supermarket's Crewe store when he was hit by a barrier at the petrol station on December 6, 2006.
The stock replenisher had to undergo a series of operations for facial injuries and lost one eye.
He is now unable to talk and will never be able to eat or swallow again.
Morrisons was fined £172,000 under the Health and Safety at Work Act on Friday during a hearing at Chester Crown Court.
Today, a spokesman for the company told The Sentinel: "Our thoughts remain with Kevin and his family at this time. We have accepted full responsibility and accept the findings of the court."
Mr Brookshaw's wife Paula, of Buerton, near Audlem, declined to comment on the changes at the store.
