Husband, 79, goes missing

STAFFORDSHIRE Police are appealing for the public to report any sightings of a missing 79-year-old man.

Gordon Beard went missing from his home address in Kestrel Drive, Loggerheads, at 10am yesterday.

Mr Beard was last seen by his wife and is believed to have gone out for a walk, but he has not yet returned home.

Mr Beard is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, well built with grey hair.

He was wearing a cream shirt, black trousers, walking boots and was carrying a walking stick.

A police spokesman said: "We consider Mr Beard to be vulnerable, and we are becoming increasingly concerned.

"Any person who has seen Mr Beard recently is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 44 55."
