No action on website row
POLICE will not be taking any action against the president of Staffordshire University's Students' Union following a row over a website article.
Assed Baig posted an article on the union website last month, which contained a link to a site identifying 30 BNP members living within two miles of the university's Stoke campus in College Road.
The article was removed from the website hours after The Sentinel contacted the union, which stressed the statement expressed the views of an individual and not necessarily its other members.
More than 1,000 students joined an online campaign to force Mr Baig to resign from his position as president.
However, Staffordshire Police and the university have announced they will not be taking the issue any further.

“I can't quite work out what has been changed in my message - but how typical a message complaining about so-called 'racism' against white people is not moderated and a genuine anti-racist message is (after my original was deleted altogether). These are the farcical times we are living in. Would a Moderator care to explain this?”

“This is the message this seems to have disappeared:
Good - and how ridiculous they were even contemplating taking any 'action' against a dedicated anti-racist campaigner. It is the BNP and their supporters that should be arrested and harrassed by the police but as usual they are protected and when they are caught red-handed planning violent attrocities the media and government do not touch the story.

“You can bet that if it had been a white person putting the names of some terrorist supporters on the unions website, the outcome would have been different.”
