Writer set for sun viewings
AUTHOR Jeff Kent is to host three guided viewings of a double sunset.
The summer solstice phenomenon is visible in good weather from several sites in North Staffordshire and West Derbyshire, but is usually observed in Leek.

SUNSET WALK: Author Jeff Kent will undertake a guided viewing.
Mr Kent has identified two of the best locations and will host viewings on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
He will be at the phone box at Glutton Bridge, on the B5053, just north of Longnor at 8.15pm.

The second meeting is at the Flying Horse pub, Ashbourne Road, Leek, at 9.10pm.
Spectators should bring solar filters, or at least sunglasses, and are advised never to look directly at the sun with the naked eye.
Mr Kent will give a free talk and sell signed copies of his Mysterious Double Sunset book for £3.
