Woman took off curfew tag
A WOMAN has admitted taking off her electronic tag.
Twenty-two-year-old Lisa Ryan pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a suspended sentence order she received earlier this year for an offence of unlawful wounding.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Ryan, of Nile Street, Burslem, was given the order in January, but she breached the curfew by removing her tag on February 15.
Patrick Thompson, defending, said it was Ryan's first breach and added that she was suitable for an alcohol treatment programme.
Judge Simon Tonking cancelled the curfew requirement and ordered Ryan to attend a six month alcohol treatment programme.
Ryan also faces allegations of false imprisonment and assault causing actual bodily harm on February 23. She will return to court on May 10.
She was granted bail with conditions including having no contact with her co-accused or the alleged assault victim and she must not be drunk in a public place.
