Woman charged after car ploughs into front of house
A woman has been charged with criminal damage with intent to endanger life and dangerous driving after a car ploughed into the front of a house.
The Nissan car remained embedded in the facade of a detached house in Earlsway, Waterhouses, yesterday as police continued to investigate the incident.
The 44-year-old woman, who was in custody yesterday, also faces a charge of common assault in relation to an earlier incident.
A police spokesman said: "There was extensive structural damage to the house.
"There was a man and a woman in the house at the time, but no-one was injured. The car remained in the house until the property was made safe."
One passer-by, who declined to be named, said: "The car has gone though the window and into the living room.
"It appears to have been driven at some speed."
