All elements of the prize package must be claimed before 30/03/10 and taken before 31/12/10 unless otherwise agreed in writing with prize providers (hereafter The Sponsors).
Pre-booking is essential, without exception, for every aspect of the wedding prize; all responsibilty lies with The Winner(s) to contact individual prize providers with their requirements, as soon as possible within a reasonable time period before the wedding, and not with The Sentinel.
The Winner(s) will not have preference over other customers.
The Winner(s) are required, as a condition of the prize, to arrange all necessary appointments, viewings and trials as soon as possible after being informed of their win. We would stress that early contact is highly advisable to avoid disappointment and to ensure the exact specifications of colour, size and other preferences.
In the event a supplier is unable to deliver prizes due to short notice, The Sentinel accepts no liability for loss incurred and states no obligation to supply substitutes or replacements.
Whilst an element of choice has been catered for to the greatest extent possible, The Sponsors are not obliged to offer alternatives over items and services originally specified; additional choices or alternatives other than stated are given entirely at the discretion of the individual promoter as possible within the given time frame.
Any additional cost accrued above and beyond that agreed by individual prize providers will be paid for by The Winner(s), who will be required to pay the difference in full. This includes additional guests and upgrades of any prizes offered.
No disputes will be entered into. The Editor’s decision is final.
Prizes are provided in their entirety by third party sponsors and The Sentinel accepts no responsibility for any technical, operational, financial, or other reasons that may result in any facility to be closed, no longer trading, or unavailable at any time.
The Sentinel accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage caused by any aspect of the competition or prize package.
The health and safety of the wedding party nor that of wedding guests is not the responsibility of Staffordshire Sentinel News & Media Ltd at any time.
Beauty treatments are not recommended for under-16’s. Seek the advice of suppliers before undertaking treatments or activities if in any doubt.
Nail extensions will be applied to persons aged 16 or over. Nail plates can be applied with a parent or guardian present for persons aged 12 to 16. Children may have a basic manicure instead. There are no age restrictions for tanning treatments.
Hairdressing: Afro Caribbean or Asian hair may need to be carried out by a specialist qualified stylist at a different branch than advertised. Hair extensions and colour are not part of the prize package and must be paid for if required.
Ask food suppliers for details on ingredients with regards to food intolerences or allergies, particularly to nuts, before consumption.
Alcohol is not intended for under 18’s and The Sentinel promotes sensible drinking in the community.
Each of The Sponsors’ own terms and conditions apply and should be sought at time of booking. All prizes are subject to availability.
There is no cash alternative to any part of the prize.
No refunds are available for any reason on any part of the prize package.
There is no alternative prize, and no part of the prize may be exchanged, including dates, locations, suppliers, products and services offered.
Restrictions may apply.
Prizes cannot be claimed in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
The Sentinel is unable to make alternative arrangements due to personal preference, illness, prior engagements, weather conditions, relationship breakdown, childcare issues, or any other reason.
Whilst same-sex and heterosexual couples are equally eligible to enter, we regret we cannot alter prizes stated to specifically cater for same-sex weddings where requirements may differ.
In the event The Winner(s) are completely unable to take up the prize and have given reasonable notice, The Sentinel may offer the prize to the nominee with the second-highest number of votes, at its discretion.
Sale of the prize package as a whole or any part of the prize for profit by any party is strictly forbidden.
It is The Winner(s)’ responsibility to take out any Wedding Insurance policies as deemed necessary, and not that of The Sentinel.
The Sentinel’s usual competition rules also apply; see the Classified section of the newspaper under ‘Public Notices’.

“I would love my beautiful niece gemma and her fiance steve to win the dream sentinel that is being organised through the sentinel,i dont think we have ever had a competition like this before in stoke on trent, well i cant remember one and i am 47 years old,so this is an ideal time for all families to vote for their loved ones and give them their dream wedding which i would say for most people would be way out of their price range and would be an ideal stress free bonus to the start of their married life.Im sure everyone who enters the competition deserves to win so i am not going to mention any reason why gemma and steve should win,it just would be the best feeling in the world for my brother as he is such an hard worker and has not had the best of luck over the years and i feel he deserves it as much as gemma and steve.
So this is for all three of you gemma steve and gra, love you suexx”
