Wedgwood sculpture moved to permanent resting place
HEAD-TURNING: A sculpture of the great potter Josiah Wedgwood has been moved to what is expected to be its permanent resting place after being put on show facing the wrong way.
The red brick artwork was made for the 1986 Garden Festival and was unveiled in Festival Park in December after 23 years in storage.

But councillors decided the statue was facing the wrong way.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council agreed to move it, so it could be better seen by passers-by and motorists.
The model of Wedgwood's face was positioned on the front lawn of the Best Western Stoke-on-Trent Moat House Hotel, in Festival Park, facing across the road.
Now it has been moved 90 degrees, so it looks toward the junction of Festival Way and Etruria Road.
Councillor Derek Capey said:
"If you turn it round it looks very good and I'm very pleased it's been put right."
