Wedgwood exhibition at Potteries Museum
WEDGWOOD CELEBRATION: The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery is celebrating the 250th anniversary of Josiah Wedgwood's first Burslem factory with an exhibition.
Visitors will get the chance to see pottery created by Josiah Wedgwood himself – including examples of his famous blue and white Jasperware.
Also on display are original pieces by sons John and Thomas Wedgwood, as well as documents from Wedgwood's history. There are examples of the kind of wheel used to make pottery during the Wedgwood era including a wheel which was used to 'power' the throwing wheel. The exhibition runs until November 22, entry is free. Opening times are 10am until 5pm Monday to Saturday and 2pm until 5pm on Sundays.
