A BOUNDARY wall is set to be built behind some houses – after residents complained neighbours could see into their properties.

Families in Crackley Bank, in Chesterton, have complained that people living in Badger's Croft can see over an existing fence and into their properties, due to the land sloping towards them.

Now Newcastle Borough Council has submitted plans to build a wall, topped by a fence, between the two sets of houses.

Plans for the wall, which will be up to 4.5 metres high, nearly 15ft, have been recommended for approval by planning officers at the authority.

The council's planning committee will discuss the plans when it meets next Tuesday.
