Violent robber sent to prison for four years
ROBBER Christopher Scott, who attacked a man with a glass ashtray, has been jailed for four years.
The 29-year-old, of Lawton Crescent, Biddulph, went to a bedsit in Liverpool Road, Stoke, at 7pm on April 4 last year, with his brother Matthew and niece Sophie Manning.

LOCKED UP: Christopher Scott.
It was the home of Mantsigi Johnson, who supplied 17-year-old Manning with cannabis.
Prosecutor Nick Tatlow told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday that once inside, Scott and his brother demanded money from Mr Johnson and his friend Carim Ahmed.
"They said they had no money and that was the cue for violence," he told the court.
"Matthew Scott was principally concerned with Mr Johnson and the defendant with Mr Ahmed.
"Mr Ahmed was struck by the defendant with a glass ashtray."
The victim was left with two cuts to his head, which needed stitches, and bruising to his face and eye.
Mr Tatlow added: "The purpose for the violence was to allow Manning to relieve both men of their mobile phones and Mr Johnson of his wrist-watch."
Matthew Scott, aged 33, of Dilhorne Grove, Dresden, was convicted of two charges of robbery after his trial in September. He was sentenced to six years in jail with four years on licence.
Manning, of Selwyn Street, Stoke, who gave evidence against her father, admitted two counts of robbery and was given a two-year detention and training order.
Christopher Scott pleaded guilty to two charges of robbery in January.
Anis Ali, mitigating, said Scott succumbed to pressure from his brother.
Jailing him for four years, Judge Robert Trevor-Jones said there was nothing to distinguish Scott from his brother except his guilty plea.
