Views wanted on station plan
FIRE service bosses are urging residents and traders to say what they want in a town's station.
They have asked for views on the planned redevelopment of the base at Stone.
The station is one of 10 expected to be rebuilt as part of a multi-million pound Government scheme.
Approval for funding is due to be given soon.
So residents have been invited to a consultation event at Stone's fire station on Wednesday.
The new building, to be known as Stone Community Fire Station, would be created on the current site.
And Dale Harrison, assistant area commander for Stafford, said: "The consultation event will give the public and members of local organisations the chance to influence the shape of the new station with regards to its design and how it is used."
The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service consultation will run from 4pm to 5.30pm for partners and businesses.
Then a public event will run from 6pm to 8pm.
