Vandal-hit bus shelter moved
A BUS shelter which was regularly targeted by vandals and used as a meeting point by youths has been removed following complaints from residents.
The shelter, in Lysander Road, Meir Park, had its glass panes shattered several times and neighbours complained that litter and cans were being strewn across their gardens by youths gathering nearby.

FUNDS: Councillor Abbi Brown.
Police were called out on a number of occasions to deal with the shattered glass.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council moved the shelter on Tuesday, more than a year after the first complaints were received.
Abi Brown, Conservative councillor for Meir Park, has funded the switch through her ward budget.
The main payment of £1,000 was split between three ward councillors last year and Mrs Brown, the only councillor for the area under the new system, has paid another £400 to have the electricity disconnected.
She said: "The anti-social behaviour was really having a massive impact on their quality of life.
"It was every single weekend.
"Police were called out because of the broken glass.
"And neighbours were having to deal with the litter being left in their gardens."
The shelter will now be moved to a more appropriate spot in the area.
