United told: Hands off Begovic
TONY Pulis has repeated his vow not to sell in January amid fresh reports of Manchester United's interest in Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
United are reportedly ready to weigh in with an £8m bid for the Bosnian keeper – and are prepared to wait until the summer if needs be.
Though why Sir Alex Ferguson would talk figures six months before a move for Begovic, and quite why Stoke would consider a fee as low as £8m, is not explained in the reports.
Pulis, meanwhile, stands by his assertion that neither he nor the club's owners are prepared to sell assets like Begovic, Ryan Shawcross, Steven Nzonzi and Marc Wilson in the January transfer window.

He says the stakes are far too high to risk a relegation battle over the next five months because of the huge increase in TV revenues heading the way of Premier League clubs from next season.
But he is also resigned to stories popping up periodically in the Press like today's linking Begovic with Old Trafford.
