Unfair for PM to pick on Carr
I AM not a Jimmy Carr fan, in fact I don't find him amusing.
I do, however, have some sympathy for him being singled out for very public castigation by the Prime Minister.
I think it is completely wrong for David Cameron to use his position to name and shame a particular individual who has done nothing illegal and probably just followed the advice of a professional financial adviser.
What about the many other schemes for minimising personal taxation liability used by the wealthy, such as off-shore bank accounts?

Nearer to home, should we all feel guilty for saving through ISA accounts, after all we don't pay any of the earned interest back to the Inland Revenue?
Perhaps it might not be such bad news for Jimmy Carr. Think of all the jokes that he can generate about David Cameron.
What is worse, abandoning a young child in a pub or joining an official scheme to save on your tax bill?

“I, too, am not a fan of Jimmy Carr. However, I would like to point out that the Prime Ministers criticism isn't "unfair" it is, in fact, the height of hypocrisy. Would Jimmy Carr have been criticised if he had bunged the Conservative party a few hundred thousand quid like a lot of tax-avoiding rich business men do? Is Mr Cameron criticising them? No, he isn't.”
