This is the first glimpse of how part of the city centre could look after a £50 million regeneration scheme is finished.

New homes, a boulevard-style walkway and a state-of-the-art pottery factory are all included in the next phase of the City Waterside project – a flagship development aimed at transforming the Lichfield Street area to the south of Hanley.

The new housing will stretch north from the recently-opened canal bridge, along the boulevard to the city centre.

In all, more than 200 new homes are proposed in the area, while the Emma Bridgewater pottery will move from the Eastwood Works to a purpose-built facility.

Plans will be on display from 1pm to 5pm on Thursday, June 18 at the City Waterside Community Centre, Dresden Street. Then at the Emma Bridgewater Factory, Lichfield Street, from 3pm to 8pm on Friday, June 19, and from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, June 20.
